Welcome to ‘Rhythm On The Road’.

The project is just beginning… but we have a bus ready to convert!

 

OUR GOALS:

1. Predominantly youth work. Getting out in the community to work with the youth to teach DJ skills, recording and encourage creative lyric writing.

2. Reaching those that cannot reach these services elsewhere.

3. On board equipment to provide a full recording studio.

4. On board equipment to provide a full stage to facilitate events.

 

HOW DO WE PLAN TO DO THIS?

We have very graciously been donated a bus to facilitate the project. But we need to get it road ready!

Once we are up and running, we will visit Community Centres and work with the youth. We want them to be nurtured and encouraged, granting them access to this musically creative space to develop the next generation of musical artists!

When the ‘internal’ structure is set, we will expand to include an external stage area to facilitate events, helping to provide income to expand the number of vehicles we have… the more we have the more impact we can create at reaching the youth!

 

WHO ARE WE?

Now working in connection with Shaaq of Foxhole, we previously ran a local music studio that facilitated some youth projects in schools of the area, formerly we were known as Coach House Music Studio.

 

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

When we were visiting the local school projects we found accessibility was an issue for the participants. We discovered many could not access our building due to step access and distance. But we don’t want that to hold them back! So this concept was born by Lee, to eliminate these things and thus removing future boundaries to the programme.
